Setting out to have a fun evening in the height of fall, Casey & Ryan turned to CJ's Off the Square for their early evening wedding and following reception. The garden was bursting with color from Casey's chosen floral scheme of fall wildflowers, mixing sunflowers, gerbera daisies, and lilies for a stunning canvas. As guests gathered in the garden awaiting the ceremony, special attention was given to the Memorial table placed in honor of the couple's late grandparents. Married by a dear family member who became ordained especially for this memorable wedding, Casey & Ryan exchanged vows during sunset.
A cocktail hour followed, showcasing custom labeled wines and hors d' oeuvres of Asparagus Crisps, Ginger Duck Dumplings, and Crab Cakes which complimented the crisp fall air exquisitely. After joining their reception and sharing their first dance to Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love With You", the bride & groom led their guests in dinner. Guests were served at chef-attended stations featuring Mini Portobello Melt and BLT Panini sandwiches, Tomato Herb soup, as well as carved Beef Tenderloin and Rack of Lamb accompanied by roasted fresh fall vegetables.
After dancing to classics such as Frank Sinatra and Stevie Wonder, all had worked up an appetite for dessert. In lieu of a traditional wedding cake Casey opted for individual cupcakes, and then surprised her groom with a cake modeled after the Philadelphia Flyers hockey puck to acknowledge his favorite team.
As their friends and family relaxed in the cool evening and the warm glow of hanging lanterns, the bride & groom visited with guests and absorbed the atmosphere. With a quick toss of the bouquet at the end of the night, they were off with a smile!
