Real Events - Christy and Theron

After a private ceremony in the Appalachian foothills earlier in the summer, Christy & Theron were searching for the perfect setting to host a celebration of their new marriage. They were looking for a beautiful and comfortable location where they would be able to welcome their family and friends for an evening of togetherness and hospitality. Falling in love with both the staff and the venue, they opted to hold their gathering at CJ's Off the Square.

Christy & Theron then opened the floor with their first dance, "At Last." For those not in the dancing mood, Pedicabs were available from CJ's front porch to give guests short tours of Downtown Franklin's Town Square and Main Street. After sneaking off for their own romantic tour, the couple rejoined the reception to cut their 3-tiered Lemon & Sour Cream Almond cake. As their friends & family said their goodbyes and headed home, Christy & Theron reflected on how much they enjoyed being able to welcome guests into CJ's as if it were their own home for the evening!

With her guests’ entertainment and comfort at the forefront, Christy set out to personalize every aspect of the event. They greeted loved ones as they arrived for the pre-dinner welcome reception in the historic home. While sampling a spread of domestic and imported cheeses and seasonal fruits, invitees milled about watching a DVD of the wedding ceremony and perusing the bride's hand-crafted seating chart. Upon moving to the Pavilion for dinner, kid kits were waiting at the place of each child, and for the adults, personalized fans. After a dinner of Pecan Encrusted Chicken and Blackberry Pork, Christy & Theron rose to give their guests a unique toast. Rather than number their dinner tables sequentially, they assigned each table a number with particular meaning to the couple. During the toast, each number was explained, coming together to describe their love affair from past to present!
