- What is CJ's Off the Square?

CJ's Off the Square is not a restaurant or hotel, but a private and exclusive special event venue providing a totally unique experience for you and your guests. Our gallery shows contemporary fine art throughout the year from local, national and international artists and the garden plays host to a variety of events year round.

- What type of hall or social rooms are available?

Rental fees include use of 2000 sqft art gallery on the first level of the house, 1200 sqft tented pavilion and beautiful perennial garden & gazebo.

- What is the maximum number you can accommodate?

Seated guests for a garden ceremony 60

Standing guests for a garden ceremony 100

Formally seated lunch or dinner in the pavilion 100-120*

Cocktail style reception (no ceremony) 120-135*

*If you wish to have room for a dance floor, please refer to the smaller capacity.

- For how many hours?

CJ's Off the Square books 1 event per day. Events must be scheduled between 10 AM and 10 PM. Your band or DJ must end by 10 PM. Additional set up or break down time is available for an additional fee of $100 per hour.

- Will there be other events on the same day?

Your event is important to us and for that reason, we never book more than one event per day so you never feel rushed or pressured. You will have the full attention of your event coordinator and our staff will be completely dedicated to you and your guests throughout your time with us.

- Does CJ's Off the Square provide tables, chairs, linens, china and silverware?

Because every event is as unique as you are, we do not retain a static set of linens, tables, chairs or table service. We work with a talented network of vendors to provide you the best selection and the lowest prices so you can customize the look and feel of your event to your tastes.

- What kinds of fees are associated with hosting my event with you?

The base rental fees include exclusive access and use of the facility from 10 AM - 10 PM each day. An on site facility manager will be present at all times while guests are on the premises. The facility fee does not include the rental of tables, chairs, linens, service staff, food etc. You are welcome to bring your own planner or have the expert staff at CJ's Off the Square create a custom event for you.

- Can the site be used for both the ceremony and reception?

We are happy to accommodate up to 60 guests for a seated garden weddings or up to 100 guests for a mix seated/standing ceremony. There is no additional charge to have both your wedding ceremony and reception at CJ's Off the Square.

- Can I use my own caterer?

We prefer that you make your catering selections from our house menus. We are happy to accommodate special requests or dietary needs. Should you wish to bring your own caterer for your event, we reserve the right to approve your choice and require proof of insurance. We also charge a $500 fee.

- Are there rooms available for the bride, groom and attendants to change into wedding attire or going away clothes?

We do have a bridal suite for the wedding party to getting ready in before the ceremony. The groom and groomsmen enjoy getting ready in the wine cellar.

- Is there a dance floor?

CJ's Off the Squares clients often use the existing aggregate patio surface as a dance floor. More traditional wood or vinyl dance floor options are also available for an additional fee. There is a raised stage area for a band or DJ that is included with the facility.

- Are there heaters and lights in the tent and garden?

Lighting is a major component of atmosphere for any special event. Basic lighting is provided by CJs Off the Square, however we always recommend choosing from our custom lighting packages to set the perfect mood. All tented receptions are heated as weather demands at no additional charge.
