A Very Marry Occasion 2015 ~ Southern Wedding and Event Style Showcase

In May we hosted our second annual wedding style showcase, A Very Marry Occasion, at CJ’s Off the Square and the results were stunning! Together with a crew of talented vendors, we created a style reminiscent of classic New England garden weddings.

Southern Events Party Rental Company set the scene with their plush white furniture pieces and opulent details, but it was the Enchanted Florist who really made the magic happen, from the crystal chandelier draped in blooms and greenery, to the garland swag framing the garden entrance. The centerpieces were a mix of soft pastels and deep purples. Those rich red peonies and touches of fresh fruit added a lush surprise!

We’re swooning over how Kennedy-esque the model couple looks in their attire! The bride is wearing BHLDN’s gorgeous Briar Rose gown. Her hair and makeup were done by the talented Amanda Gros.

Scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, sweets and drinks were provided by The Bake Shoppe and A Catered Affair, while guests enjoyed music from Premier DJs of Nashville.

Big thanks to Austin Gros for his stunning photography, we’re so thrilled to share them with you!

Every couple wants their wedding day to feel timeless and elegant, yet reflect their personality. Kara and Jason’s destination wedding is a great example of a relaxed and timeless wedding with lots of personal style. Kara loves stripes, so we found ways to subtly incorporate the pattern in sweet, playful details: from the invitation design, to the ribbon wrapped around the flower arrangements, to the runner down the reception tables, to the bride’s sweet pair of striped navy wedges by Toms!

The flowers, designed by the talented team at Enchanted Florist, added cheerful bursts of color in coral peonies and yellow billy balls. The table settings added a touch of simple sophistication with Belmont chargers, sleek flatware, and soft pink linens.

Julie + Andrew’s outdoor wedding ceremony in our gazebo was a sophisticated affair (and just our style!) From the bride’s gorgeous gown to the classic color palette of white and ivory accented with navy and gold, we loved the timeless elegance and thoughtful details. Simple and stunning in every way, Julie + Andrew’s Big Day is sure to be remembered fondly for generations to come.

Stephanie + Manuel ~ September 27, 2014

Stephanie and Manuel were wed in an elegant ceremony at St. Phillip Catholic Church in downtown Franklin, before heading to CJ’s Off the Square for a reception in our garden pavilion. The Big Day was a sophisticated blend of their styles and heritage, with soft pastel accents and a Carnivale theme to honor Manuel’s Colombian roots. The couple and their guests loved donning their masks and dancing the night away! You can read more about Stephanie + Manuel’s sweet love story in this fun recap from Mid-South Bride.

Thanks to Marc Billingsley Photography for these lovely images.

Linda + Matt’s September wedding had so many beautiful and unique details, but the key component for their sophisticated style was balance. The happy couple chose a few “statement pieces,” from the colorful florals to the hanging paper lanterns in the pavilion, yet we balanced those features with an easy, clean tablescape. Soft teal linens and a careful selection of flatware and glassware made the decor feel elegant and light. The bride’s blush Allure gown (bought at the white room in Lebanon, TN) is another GORGEOUS statement piece, but Linda’s low chignon up-do made her bridal style timeless and classic. The focal point was her stunning dress, with no distractions. The day felt sweet, Southern, and sophisticated from start to finish!

The team at CJ’s Off the Square is to help our couples build the Big Day of their dreams through careful selection and attention to detail!
