Kara + Jason’s Destination Wedding ~ June 13, 2014

We love working with couples planning a destination wedding and Kara + Jason were no different. From our first conversation with Kara, it was apparent we would have a great time working together. From day one, our bride knew she wanted stripes. This was the perfect design element for a preppy Southern summer wedding and we had a lot of fun playing up horizontal lines throughout the design.  Even the bride wore navy striped wedges by Toms!  With a gorgeous palette of navy blue, pink and coral, the playful look felt elegant and timeless in our historic house and gardens. Kara’s sweet review only further confirmed how much we enjoyed working with her.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving Jason and I the most perfect wedding day! We were beyond thrilled. Everything turned out more amazing than I could have dreamed. We look forward to coming back to Franklin on many anniversaries. Forever grateful.”

Nashville Photographer Jenna Henderson captured Kara and Jason’s day just beautifully – we are so thrilled to share these images with you. Enjoy!CJCJCJCJCJCJCJCJCJCJs, Kara+Jason, Jenna HendersonCJ

Danielle + Jonathan ~ October 19

Fall weddings at CJ’s Off the Square are some of our favorites – cooler temperatures paired with rich details get us every time. Danielle and Jonathan’s garden wedding certainly checks both of these boxes as the couple celebrated in sophisticated Southern style.  The bride wore Monique Lhuillier and her maids were in plum Amsale gowns while the guys looked dashing in grey suits.  Lace overlays on the guest tables mimic the baby’s breath centerpieces and vintage details gave the space an elegant and comfortable feel.  Beyond the beautiful space, our sweet couple made sure their guests had a memorable evening – even treating them to a late-night milk and cookie nosh – yum!

Nashville photographer Brandon Chesboro let us breathless with his gorgeous images of Danielle and Jonathan’s day. Enjoy!

Tess + Rene’s Destination Wedding ~ May 31, 2014

Planning a wedding is no easy feat.  Now imagine planning your wedding from across the globe… literally. Our bride Tess lived in Australia and after finding CJ’s Off the Square online, we worked with her to plan an elegant black and white garden wedding entirely by phone and email.  Whether your near or very far, our team is here to make wedding planning easy and effortless! Such a kind and thoughtful person, Tess left a touching review on Wedding Wire about her experience:

“Trying to plan a wedding in a venue you’ve never seen and arriving to finding it more magical then you thought possible is an expectation more than met. Living in Australia and planning all the pieces were done entirely by email with CJ. I want to thank CJ and her team once again.”

Tess, you are so very welcome! It was truly our pleasure working with you and your delightful family. Big thanks to Cynthia Michelle for her gorgeous images of Tess and Rene’s day – enjoy!

Brianna + Leigh ~May 10, 2014

Elegance and romance in a garden setting?  Oooo, our favorite! Brianna + Leigh’s outdoor wedding ceremony in our gazebo was a timeless Southern affair, complete with a gorgeous gown and a ombre wedding cake.  After all was said and done, our sweet bride had only the nicest things to say on a review she posted on the Knot – makes our heart smile!

“Not only is Cj an absolute pleasure to work with, the staff she surrounds herself with is just as amazing as she is. She and her staff have literally thought of everything you could possibly need or want on your wedding day (and days leading) which makes the process of planning a wedding so easy and helpful and really removes a lot of stress. The venue is so beautiful and she takes so much pride in the services she offers. My new husband and I could not be happier we chose Cj’s Off the Square!”

Thanks to Jenny Lindsey Photography for her images and all the awesome vendors that helped out.  Enjoy!

Brittany + Brock’s Elegant Garden Celebration ~ May 17

Soft and romantic was the theme for Brittany and Brock’s elegant garden wedding earlier this spring. We focused on mostly white decor with accents of lavender. Surrounded by our lush, late spring gardens, this was the perfect setting for a timeless garden wedding. Miller’s Florist provided the elegant florals – hydrangea centerpieces, white and purple flowers for the bridesmaids and the bride’s gorgeous bouquet. Brittany looked stunning in a gorgeous ivory lace gown by Essence of Australia while her groom, Brock was looking dapper in his sharp gray suit.

The day was perfect but Brittany said it best in her kind review on the Knot:

“I cannot express how happy I am with all of the services I received from CJ’s Off the Square. I have always wanted to have a garden wedding with a romantic, chic feel… Finding a venue in Nashville that did not include a barn or a country theme was somewhat difficult. I stumbled upon CJ’s… I immediately fell in love! CJ’s is so charming and beautiful! I especially loved that the reception pavilion is covered… most places will make you put a large deposit down on a tent even if you do not end up using it. Cj completely understood my vision & I definitely feel that this place can be made into whatever style you are going for.  I had been put-off before by having to use specific vendors but I can honestly say that they did an amazing job and every single person was very professional and efficient.  Cj is absolutely amazing and I could not have asked for a more stress-free, pleasant, and beautiful experience…This venue is everything I had hoped for our wedding and I will cherish the beautiful memories for the rest of my life.”

Thanks to Chrissy from MagnifyU Photography for sharing her pictures of Brittany and Brock’s big day – we hope you enjoy!

December 21 ~ Carolin + Alan Intimate Ceremony and Reception

Winter weddings are not very common at CJ’s Off the Square – our garden closes for the season, moving events inside our historic home.  A perfect space for petite weddings, we looked forward to hosting Carolin and Alan and their closest family and friends.  As their big day approached, a lucky heat wave shifted the wedding outside for an intimate ceremony.  With help from Southern Events and the Enchanted Florist, our event pavilion was transformed into a cozy winter garden – elegant and stunning to say the least! Knoxville based photographer, Bryan Allen Photo captured this lovely wedding beautifully in his photos below – Enjoy!

P.S. If you are planning a wedding for 25 or fewer guests, please call to learn more about our “Petite” wedding package.  Even with the smallest of weddings, our team will take care of all the details so you can focus on what matter most.
