Jessica + Eric’s Destination Wedding ~ November 7, 2014

Jessica + Eric’s November wedding was held at the peak of Tennessee’s fall glory, with sunshine, mild temperatures, and leaves all aglow. It was the perfect destination wedding for the happy couple, who planned their Big Day from the Big Apple, New York City. The two said their I-Dos right at sunset in an intimate garden ceremony, followed by a gorgeous reception where everyone dined and danced the night away. Their bulldog Sargeant made such a handsome ringbearer, don’t you think?! It was truly a perfect day for all at CJ’s Off the Square. We wish Jessica and Eric a lifetime of love and happiness to come!

Big thanks to Jen + Chris Creed Photography for sharing these wonderful images with us.

Jenna and Chris’s 4th of July wedding was a gorgeous boho-chic affair. To achieve the look we mixed upscale elements - designer linens, floating crystals, silver vases and votive candles – and balanced them with boho details like the textured florals and this rustic branch chandelier (custom-made for the event!).  Our beautiful bride had her own boho-chic style, from her Mori Lee gown that blended formal details and gauzy fabrics, to her loose waves and crystal headband. She looked absolutely stunning, yet relaxed.

Read the details below on how our team at CJ’s Off the Square made garden boho chic style simple for Jenna and Chris’s Big Day.  Enjoy!

Jessica + James ~ September 6, 2014

Lavender is more than a sweet aroma or lovely color; in weddings it’s also a timeless symbol of devotion. We love how Jessica + James incorporated this meaning-filled floral as an accent to their Big Day. From the shade of the bridesmaids gowns to the sweet stems tucked into the table arrangements, all the lavender details came together to create an evening of vintage elegance for the happy couple.

It was a pleasure working with you, Jessica and James! We wish you a lifetime of love and devotion. Special thanks to the talented Cynthia Michelle Photography for sharing these gorgeous images!

Katherine + Weston ~ November 8, 2014

Katherine + Weston were wed in a sophisticated gold garden wedding this past fall at CJ’s Off the Square. The color palette of gold and navy created an elegant and upscale feel for their fall nuptials. Our favorite details were the eucalyptus wreath arranged by the ever-talented Enchanted Florist, and the white and gold-painted pumpkins adorning the steps and reception tables. Perfect for a November wedding in Tennessee!  The bride and groom thought so as well in their sweet words below:

I can’t begin to explain how wonderful my wedding and experience at CJ’s Off the Square was. It was our dream wedding. Jennifer went above and beyond with details and planning. They took exactly what i had in mind and brought it to life. All of our guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to, and the most beautiful. The flowers were absolutely breathtaking, and the food was to die for! Being able to get ready in the bridal suite was such a fun and special time with my bridesmaids. We are blessed to have had such a wonderful evening

Many thanks to Amy Nicole Photography for sharing these gorgeous images, and to all the vendors that partnered with us to make Katherine + Weston’s day special!  Enjoy!

There are so many great SMS tips to glean from A Very Marry Occasion style showcase we hosted last June but we’re sharing the most important ones with you today. First and foremost: light! What we style during the day looks different after dark, so lighting is a key component for maintaining the romantic ambiance throughout the evening. String lights and chandeliers are our go-to options for transforming your wedding into a dreamy wonderland where guests can dine and dance the night away. A Very Marry Occasion is also the perfect example of Southern-chic done right. The gold chiavari chairs make a bold “special occasion” statement, yet the white-washed farm tables create a neutral base that keeps the space from feeling too formal. The vibrant florals and linens lends to the lighthearted style, while the antique silver flatware adds that final touch of Southern elegance.  Enjoy!

This past fall, our talented interns participated in a style shoot to demonstrate all they learned during their time at CJ’s Off the Square! Each intern was tasked with creating an original and relevant design for our garden venue. With rental products from our friends at Southern Events and floral arrangements from the ever-talented Enchanted Florist, each look was captured beautifully by Jenna Henderson.  Enjoy!

P.S. Interested in designing your own style shoot? We are still taking applications for dedicated interns for summer and fall of 2015! Learn more here.

Style #2: Indigo + Gold Glamour, by Nicole

Details: Nicole’s style is a fun twist on the “something old, something new” with a mix of classic details and on-trend glam. The vivid indigo table linens take “something blue” to a whole new level! This sparkling style would be the perfect choice for a fall wedding.

Style #3: Vintage Floral Chic, by Meghan

Details: We love the vintage-chic style Meghan created with the bold floral garlands and lace table runner. The gold accents and plum table linens balance the vintage details for a fresh, modern feel. The style is perfectly suited for our outdoor pavilion setting!
