What a fun wedding this was! Kellie + Carl have such charming personalities and the look of their wedding matched them perfectly – bright, energetic, and elegant! They’re both in the airline industry, so they found several creative ways to use that motif throughout their engagement and wedding. Our thanks to Ace Photography for sharing the photos with us.
Peach was the must-have color for 2012 – I simply swoon when I look at this wedding! Cynthia Michelle did a wonderful job capturing the sweet spirit of the day, with Lauren’s lovely style and Charlie’s handsome uniform. I think Lauren may have had my favorite bouquet of the year with those delicious peach garden roses and anemones. Hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do!
The deep wine and coral colors of Lauren + Kevin’s wedding were so perfect for a late September affair, and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful night. It was fantastic to have Joe Hendricks back shooting at CJ’s for this truly lovely evening!
I thought today we could take a peek back at one of our previous Fall Open Houses, as we have not yet shared it on the blog with you! The jewel tones of this look – sapphire, emerald, amethyst, ruby – all had a twist to them, and were a bit warmer and rustier than their truest hue, evoking the Fall palette but without the oranges, yellows, and reds more commonly used for a literal Fall look. As always happens when we have a wedding shot by Brandon Chesbro, I have way too many favorite images to share with you today! I love so many from this wedding, and I know you’ll find a few of your own too. Sarah and Rhett and their lovely, sweet families were such a joy to have, and you can see that in every smile. Sarah was just beaming all night, and once they hit the dance floor – watch out! Too much fun. Enjoy!

I’m so glad we got to work with Ashlea Terhune one more time before she made the big move to Spokane, WA. She is a great photographer, so if any of you have friends and family in that area, make sure you spread the word to them!
Kit and Janet have been married for 20 years, and decided to have a wonderful renewal celebration to honor their years together. It was a gorgeous night and a great time was had by all! I was especially fond of her color choices – the Wedgewood blue linen from Southern Events is one of my favorite shades, and I liked that she chose to contrast that with some bold pinks and yellow in her flowers. Lovely!
I just love doing rehearsal dinners – they are so much fun! All of the energy and excitement building, leading up to the next day’s big wedding. We were delighted when Mrs. Huff decided to host her dinner with us. CJ’s was the perfect size for her 100 guests. For those of you who love CJ’s but couldn’t host your wedding with us because you were expecting 200-300 guests, we are ideal for your smaller rehearsal dinner! Our big thanks to Chris and Adrienne Scott for coming by to photograph the details for us!
Jane and her family hail from Charleston, SC and are very proud of their hometown. She wanted to make sure she could give the bride’s family and guests a taste of their beloved city, and we were thrilled to make that happen for her. Our wonderful florist Caprice incorporate beach grass, sand, and driftwood in with the centerpieces, along with pictures of Matt + Kali and table name descriptions of special sites in Charleston!
Guests were greeted on the CJ’s porch with passed appetizers and some mellow tunes from Blue Tone Music.
The menu from A Catered Affair was a spectacle! I just have to share it with you.
And of course, three delicious chocolate cakes in the shape of Matt’s mandolin, guitar, and banjo, complimented by dessert shots of Banana Pudding and Key Lime pie!
The combination of vibrant oranges, romantic reds, cool weather and a glowing bride and groom made this a beautiful, outdoor wedding at CJ’s Off the Square!
