Invitation Designs Inspired by The Great Gatsby

We can’t wait for the all new The Great Gatsby movie to open in just a couple of weeks. To get ready for the big opening, we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite invitation designs that feature a Gatsby-esque Art Deco style. Vintage design meets glamorous presentation with this beautiful wedding invitation. We love the clean, crisp contrast of raised black ink on bright white paper and the perfect finishing touch of the organza sleeve. Gorgeous!

Relaxed and Rustic | Lindsey + Graham | July 27

On a warm summer day, Lindsey and Graham said “I Do” in the garden at CJ’s Off the Square. While Graham was stationed in Afghanistan, Lindsey worked with the team at CJ’s to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for the couple’s friends and family. Despite the high temperature, nothing was going to keep this group from having a great time. We love this pairing of navy blue with soft pink. Loads of rustic details like our whiskey barrel chandelier, wood chargers and vintage inspired chalkboards made this the perfect look for this laid back Southern couple.

Soft and Sweet | Cait + Joel | October 12

Every wedding that we get to be a part of is a treat for us, but there’s nothing like getting to be host to the marriage of two of your dear friends, and that’s exactly what we got to do last October for sweet Cait + Joel! They have been close friends of mine for years and I was over the moon when they decided to gather their friends and family from across the country here at CJ’s to celebrate the next chapter of their life together. We had a wonderful time, and words can’t say how much I love Jessie Holloway’s amazing documentation of the day. What memories! Enjoy!

Detail of the Week | Chalkboards!

If you’ve been on Pinterest lately then you probably already know that framed chalkboards can make for an inexpensive and versatile prop. If you’re planning a wedding, have you thought about all the different ways to incorporate them into your Big Day? You could use a large one to post your menu or highlight your specialty drinks at the bar. I love using small boards for photo props for you and your groom or for your guests in the photo booth. Did you know they’re even available as a rental item? Here are a few of my favorite chalkboard uses here at CJ’s Off the Square:
