James + Dani’s Elegant Rehearsal Dinner | November 2

What a treat is was to work with Sara Fried of Fete Nashville and her clients, the Bienvenus, for their elegant, formal rehearsal dinner last November. It was a beautiful evening with a delicious menu of Spinach Salad, Crab-topped Filet Mignon, and Flourless Chocolate Cake. Thanks to Erin Lee of The Collection for sharing these photos with us!

“I can’t thank you enough for all your help with my client’s recent rehearsal dinner. You made the planning process so easy and fun! The evening turned out beautifully, and your venue is simply magical in the evening. Expectations exceeded! Looking forward to working with you again, Sara”

Timeless Glamour | Rena + Andy | August 25

We were so excited to glam it up for Rena + Andy’s decadent August wedding, and knew that Paul Rowland‘s photos would more than do justice to the event. I can’t brag on Paul enough – he is simply one of the best photographers Tennessee has to offer! Rena and Andy are such a stylish couple and they knew exactly how to do the Black & White look right, keeping it both timeless and fresh. And I must compliment them on their wedding party – they surrounded themselves with such a fun, supportive group that they were laughing and smiling all day long! I think you’ll see what I mean!

Detail of the Week | Bridesmaid Cosmetic Bag

What better way to thank your bridesmaids for participating in your Big Day than loading them up with wedding day essentials, all wrapped up in a gorgeous cosmetic bag?

Alleviate extra wedding day stress by equipping them with a few emergency tools. It’s a perfect combination of practical and pretty.

A few of my favorite essentials:

  • miniature sewing kit
  • bobby pins
  • safety pins
  • tissues
  • travel size deodorant and hairspray
  • breath mints

And just for fun:

  • miniature bottles of champagne
  • disposable camera
  • a hand written note for each bridesmaid, telling a favorite moment you’ve shared
  • and, of course, chocolate

This waffle weave bag, protected by an inner plastic liner, is available in our online boutique along with many other gifts, accessories and invitations.

Detail of the Week | Simply Elegant Invitation

When our brides are asked to describe their wedding style, one of the most common responses we hear is “simple but elegant.” This, of course, can mean a lot of different things but no matter the direction we take it, CJ’s Off the Square is a perfect venue to complement the sweet and sophisticated taste of these brides.

This week’s Detail is currently my favorite invitation to highlight a “simple but elegant” garden wedding. The  lovebirds monogram is just the right amount of detailed flourish to accent a garden wedding and the Letterpress typography on white card stock makes this invitation so classically elegant.

Additionally, the ink colors and fonts can be customized to your own style to perfectly accessorize your big day! To order this invitation or browse our collection, visit our online store. To schedule a personalized meeting with one of our design consultants, just give our office a call at (615) 216-7576.

Detail of the Week | Personalized Coasters

We all know it’s the details that bring an event together and take it from ordinary to a night your guests will always remember. This small detail is one that both you and your guests will love- personalized drink coasters! Customize them with your names and color of choice for a special touch at your table setting, offer them as favors or use them to dress up a bridal shower.

And why not take it one step further and serve personalized drinks atop those coasters? Laura + Steve‘s wedding was a great example of an event thought through down to every little detail. Their personalized drinks (one created by the bride and one created by the groom) were a big hit!

To order your own coasters and to view the many more products our Boutique has to offer, visit our online store or give us a call at (615) 216-7576.

Detail of the Week | Happy 4th of July!

In honor of the 4th of July, I wanted to do something a little different for the “Detail of the Week.” Today, I would like to share with you THREE lovely boutique items! One red, one white and one blue.

To browse our full Boutique collection, please call (615) 216-7576 to schedule an appointment with a design consultant. We would love to help you find the perfect items to coordinate with your wedding colors!

Beauty in White

I love the classic look of this wedding invitation! The bright white card with embossed border and sheer monogrammed overlay gives it a very elegant look.

Navy Napkins

With so many monograms and designs to choose from, these custom napkins would be perfect for passed appetizers, cocktails and to serve with cake!

At CJ’s Off the Square, we are proud to support our men and women in the military. As a thank you for their service, we happily offer a $500 discount off our wedding packages for active duty members of the military.

We hope you enjoy this holiday by spending it with family and friends!

Wedding Style: The Elegant Garden Party

There are some designs that just never go out of style. Case in point – the soft and romantic garden wedding party. This early May event was the perfect blend of pale bridal hues, garden flowers, and the airy outdoors. Beautiful photography by Ulmer Studios. Enjoy!

Charleston Meets Nashville | Rehearsal Dinner | September 9

I just love doing rehearsal dinners – they are so much fun!  All of the energy and excitement building, leading up to the next day’s big wedding. We were delighted when Mrs. Huff decided to host her dinner with us. CJ’s was the perfect size for her 100 guests. For those of you who love CJ’s but couldn’t host your wedding with us because you were expecting 200-300 guests, we are ideal for your smaller rehearsal dinner! Our big thanks to Chris and Adrienne Scott for coming by to photograph the details for us!

Jane and her family hail from Charleston, SC and are very proud of their hometown. She wanted to make sure she could give the bride’s family and guests a taste of their beloved city, and we were thrilled to make that happen for her. Our wonderful florist Caprice incorporate beach grass, sand, and driftwood in with the centerpieces, along with pictures of Matt + Kali and table name descriptions of special sites in Charleston!

Guests were greeted on the CJ’s porch with passed appetizers and some mellow tunes from Blue Tone Music.

The menu from A Catered Affair was a spectacle! I just have to share it with you.
