Summer Internship Style Shoot | CJ’s Off the Square

August 27, 2015
August 27, 2015

Our talented summer interns, Haley and Ali, participated in a style shoot in July to demonstrate everything they learned from their time on our planning team. Each intern was tasked with creating an original and relevant design for our garden venue. Both looks were absolutely stunning, with rentals from our friends at Southern Events, florals from the talented Enchanted Florist, and gorgeous photos from Jenna Henderson. Enjoy!

P.S. Interested in designing your own style shoot? We are still taking applications for dedicated interns for summer and fall of 2016! learn more HERE.

Style 1#: Rustic Romance, by Haley

“My vision for the tablescape was for guests to feel like they’re attending a party in the forest, a la Snow White, which is why I incorporated wooden elements among  flowers and garland. The deep purples and pops of pink, along with the donut display (courtesy of Five Daughters Bakery), would create a classy yet whimsical gathering for guests, like something out of Alice in Wonderland. The pyramid of donuts was a beautiful and delicious alternative to a traditional floral centerpiece. I think this theme really captures what a wedding should be: something fun that brings people together and makes them feel like they are in a fairytale, at least for a little while. The colors and rustic elements would be great to use as a transition from summer to fall.” -Haley

Style #2: Garden Watercolor, by Ali

“My vision for my table was to create a cheerful, light and airy themed table. I have always thought brightly colored flowers and linens are very pleasing to the eye, especially at weddings. I chose light turquoise napkins since I was going for a coastal inspired color palette. The coral, orange, white and green flowers to add more vibrance to the tablescape and compliment the linens. I also wanted my guests to feel relaxed and at home so I chose the round farm table and cross back chairs. “ -Ali
