A Perfect Southern Fall Wedding Franklin, TN | October 19
Danielle + Jonathan Simple But Elegant Wedding Celebration
Fall in Nashville is pretty incredible. And this is probably why October has become the most popular month to get married in Tennessee. In fact, it is quickly becoming the #1 month for weddings nationwide. Because of our unique outdoor setting, at CJ’s Off the Square we love the cooler temperatures and the shorter hours of daylight that come with the season. All the more time for our string lights and candles to shine! Our sweet couple, Danielle and Jonathan agreed and chose October 19 as the date for their Southern Fall wedding.
Working with a palette of burgundy, plum and peach, we designed a rustic but elegant look that reflected both the season and the setting. Nashville wedding photographer Brandon Chesboro left us breathless with his gorgeous images of Danielle and Jonathan’s day and With This Ring Wedding Films perfectly captured all the love (and fun!) of this couple’s big day.
PRO TIP: The perfect way to welcome your guests is to add a wreath to the main entrance. This wreath was made of baby’s breath and was such a sweet way to set the tone from a romantic Southern garden wedding.
What’s more Southern than a monogram! We love this thoughtful gift of a monogrammed “boyfriend shirt” Danielle gave each of her bridesmaids.
This laid back couple kept the look simple and stylish with a focus on texture and details rather than anything over the top. The bride wore Monique Lhuillier and her maids were in plum Amsale gowns while the guys looked dashing in grey suits.
Steal This Idea: In all likelihood, your bridesmaids will never wear that dress again….even if you try really hard to chose something in a flattering color or silhouette. But these Tory Burch flats? YES PLEASE! What a great mix and match look that is not only practical for a garden wedding, but will definitely be used for years to come.
The wedding ceremony took place in our intimate garden while Danielle & Jonathan’s closest friends and family looked on. For a mid-October wedding outdoors, you have to be careful about when you set the start time as the sun might set earlier than you expect. We recommend 4:30 pm as the ideal start time. This will give you enough remaining sunlight for any pictures you wish to take after the ceremony.
The couple stole away from guests immediately after the ceremony to take advantage of the natural beauty of Downtown Franklin. Only a block from CJ’s Off the Square is a river front walking path with this incredible park space for some of our favorite wedding portraits.
PRO TIP: Work with your photographer to scout out the ideal location for wedding pictures BEFORE the big day. This will allow the limited time you have for photos to flow smoothly and keep you on schedule so don’t keep your guest waiting too long.
Lace overlays on the guest tables mimic the baby’s breath centerpieces and vintage details gave the space an elegant and comfortable feel. Beyond the beautiful space, our sweet couple made sure their guests had a memorable evening – even treating them to a late-night milk and cookie nosh – yum!
