Question

“We wife and I were married at CJ’s Off the Square on August 14, 2010. We are doing some work on our house and are needing to get a copy of our TN marriage license certificate in order to get our loan approved. I’ve contacted the Williamson County Clerk but our request ahs gone unanswered. Is there any guidance you could give us?” – Marc

Answer

Hi Marc!

It’s nice to hear from you and congratulations about the new house! I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble getting a copy of your marriage license in TN. I can imagine that this is very frustrating – especially with the excitement (and stress) that comes along with buying a house.

Have you tried the TN Office of Vital Records? It looks like they have an in person or mail in option as well as a referral to an online service.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your new house! 😊
